Q4 2020 Performance of Top Food & Diet Tracking Apps on iOS in Latin America

As the year 2020 came to a close, the health and fitness sector witnessed a varied performance among the leading Food and Diet Tracking applications on the iOS platform in Latin America. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers insights into how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter experienced a noticeable decrease in weekly downloads, from around 13K at the beginning of Q4 to approximately 8K by the end. The weekly active users also saw a downtrend, dropping from nearly 491K to about 451K.

BodyFast: Intermittent Fasting showed a significant increase in revenue in the last week of December, reaching over 11K USD, alongside a notable rise in downloads to roughly 15K. However, the app's weekly active users decreased from around 28K to approximately 30K during the quarter.

Calorie Counter by FatSecret also saw its revenue grow towards the end of the quarter, peaking at over 2K USD. The downloads dipped to about 6K, while active users showed a slight drop from 90K to around 68K.

YAZIO Calorie Counter & Diet had a striking increase in revenue in the last week of Q4, reaching over 10K USD. Downloads climbed to about 12K after a low period in early Q4. Weekly active users showed an upward trend, finishing the quarter with over 155K, a significant rise from the start of Q4.

Intermittent Fasting 16:8 saw its revenue exhibit a slight upward trend, with figures around 3K USD towards the end of December. Downloads showed an uptick in the last week, reaching over 7K. Active users had an increase in early December to over 62K but then normalized to approximately 62K by the end of the quarter.
